Of peace and soliloquy

The best is less and far less stress.
Few are better than too many.
The sea sky and simplicity
It is preferential to a world of plenty.

Show me more and count the score.
And watch as it multiplies.
Sing me a sweet refrain.
Of bedtime lullabies.

Simple things like golden rings
Remain the same in pleasure.
Sitting in the shaded sun
We enjoy a life of leisure.

When solutions are all simplified
As easy as ABC
There’s the forest. Forget the trees.
The leaves are all I see.

Winding through the shady glens
And dappled glints of light
The thoughts are few the minds are fresh.
She was bathed in pure delight.

A few small drops of morning dew
The coo of the peace dove
The flutter of her feathers
It is manna from above.

When I walk and the talk
Disappears and drifts away
The beauty of the Bay and bush
Those words could never say.

It’s not new that a few.
Is better than a lot
A piece of peace and soliloquy
They are placed neatly in the slot.
