A Place Where Grace Bestows Me

Settling for some solitude.

I’m settling for solitude.
That’s the way it is,
Spending time by myself,
Attending to my Biz.

Staying in, not going out,
Happy here alone,
Time to do what I want,
Or chat on the phone.

Gazing at the garden,
Watching the grass grow,
Doing it so easily,
Doing it real slow.

Walking without talking,
In the early morn,
Taking a refreshing swim,
Just after the dawn.

Watching seagulls scudding,
Clouds up in the sky,
The feeling of the ocean,
As time slips on by.

Or a place where there is grace
Finding a sunny spot
With a little shade
Where the goings not too hot.

Then and when I’m ready,
I write a verse or two,
Where the words are coming from,
I haven’t got a clue.
