A Signature
Of silence.
Synopsis of silence,
I never said a word,
A signature alliance,
And not a sound was heard.
There’s a whiff in the trees,
A nocturne next to none,
And an inkling of a breeze,
And shafts of the morning sun.
A bird’s cry in the morning,
A jet stream heading home,
The whisper of life yawning,
Yet I am here alone.
I acquiesce with nature,
And hear her lonely song,
Here I am no stranger,
To wait the whole night long.
Pieces of the past return,
The future is unknown,
I am here to try and learn,
To live life on my own.
Synopsis of silence,
My voice is lost within,
I heed without defiance,
The track I tread is thin.
After and much later,
Past a day that’s done,
Whichever is the greater,
Under the midnight sun.
Jess floats and lacks the gravity,
To drift back down to earth,
Nor possess the levity,
There’s silence in her mirth.
