An Audible Sensation
Good Conversation.
It’s a hymn I can’t rescind,
Plain good conversation,
It moves around like the wind,
An audible sensation.
In my ears hopes and fears,
Ups downs and in-betweens,
Some bring me near to tears,
Close conversation themes.
Lilting like a lullaby,
The movement in the air,
I won’t be left high and dry,
Nor submit to despair.
It lifts me, and answers,
Questions on my mind,
A myriad of dancers,
Thoughts I’d left behind.
People put in places,
The ups and downs of life,
The expressions on the faces,
The trouble and the strife.
Parts and little pieces,
That makes up the whole,
My nephews and nieces,
Goldfish in a bowl.
We talk about the tenuous times,
The happiness and hope,
Words and songs that ring in rhymes,
There’s always so much scope.
Plain good conversation,
A must for happiness,
A pure and simple injection,
To reduce the stress.
