Another World

There is a place where we both go
Out west amongst the hills
Where the air is rarefied
And life slows down and stills.

Down the back of a dirt track
Across weirs amongst the trees
The Roo’s and wombat’s habitat
To a place we feel at ease.

In our cabin nestled in the bush
Another world exists
At night stars tumble from the sky
In dawn the morning mists.

The birds soar through the trees
Frogs calls echo in the night
Horizons are an endless sky
Disappearing out of sight.

We meld amongst the quietness
No noise and no pollution
Where life’s enhanced and magnified
All’s clear with no confusion

A spirit rises like a ghost
An elemental presence
Another world of love and bliss
Sublime quiet and acquiescence.

We know this place it’s part of us
We go there and are renewed
Where worries fly off with the breeze
And all sorrows are subdued.
