Ariel
Calisthenics.
I crane my brain and postulate,
Then bend and mend and train,
And then before it gets too late,
Walk out into the rain.
My knees like bees are buzzing,
My feet meet obstacles,
Tapes in my mind are dubbing,
All things are possible.
Some music from eurythmics,
The deep and dulcet sounds,
Musical calisthenics,
Heard on the daily rounds.
Words of love from up above,
A sea of shanties too,
The Mystery of a Mourning Dove,
The sock within my shoe.
The mood I’m in and laughter,
Kit bags of courtesy,
Dreams of the ever after,
Roads to eternity.
Some super realistic,
Swinging through the air,
Aerial calisthenics,
Do them if you dare.
The wheels inside are turning,
The cogs go around and around,
Still, in my heart, I’m learning,
The lessons that I’ve found.
I watch and wait and speculate,
The diamonds in the sky,
Dream my dreams and meditate,
I don’t even have to try.
