Being

Part of the audience.

It may be incidental
A fluke of fortuity
A Day of bounteous blue skies
Wandering by the sea.

It may be done in a company
Magic moments magnetise
Or solitary satisfaction
Scores a special prize

Whatever, when, or where
It is abundance is unlooked-for
Drawing back the curtains
Opening the door

Friendship is the fabric
Love is the key we hold
Meat for the meek hearted
Bones for the brave and bold

Whenever there’s a thunderstorm
Or lightning lights the sky
Or a rainbow frames the grey
Whipped cream and apple pie

A fire quietly crackled
Or birdsong in the morn
A quiet sleep of satisfaction
The first yawn of the dawn

They may be termed incidental
And of small consequence
Yet we’ll be participating
Being part of the audience
