Being There
Send it on the breeze
Vast expanses shrink
Into a microcosm
In a blink and sigh
Mind bending and awesome.
The world is now our oyster
The universe a playground
The electronic age
Press search and then it’s found.
Sending out an email
Or face to face on Skype
Join the virtual reality
And sample all the hype.
Bringing us together
Or destroying privacy
Okay if you want it
Otherwise, it’s piracy.
Hacks crunching the numbers
Passwords are vulnerable
Turn off the computer
Place dinner on the table.
More addictive than tobacco
Straining some relations
There for evermore
The locations of the stations.
Bringing us together
North southeast or west
Deleting the detritus
Selecting the very best.
Another way of being
Instant gratification
Send it where you like
The world is now our nation.
Being there is different
Say it with the keys
No need to dress up properly
Just send it on the breeze.
