Be measured.
Can the length of forever be measured
How long does it take for the cows to come home
As long as we both draw breath on this earth
The time we remain together is unknown
Our connections are abstruse and Delphic
Protracted and come what may
Melded and welded, we’re two of the same
Until the end of time and a day
Is our synchronicity based on the commonality
Of our interests in race and desires
We both aspire to the beauty of nature
And hold the keys to what friendship requires
We both have wings and fly in formation
O’er confines placed on the mind
And travel to places still unknown
And leave ponderous feelings behind
Hand in hand, we walk into the future
Indefinite with an obscure lifespan
We walk and talk towards another sunset
Without fail, from where we began
Always is a suitable description
For the mindset that joins us together
Fulfilment and satisfaction are the goals
As our future stretches into the nether
Can the length of forever be measured
How long does it take for the cows to come home
As long as we both draw breath on this earth
The time we remain together is unknown
