Member-only story
Capsules
In time.

Capsules in time,
I take my daily dose,
Write the answers down in rhyme,
Right underneath my nose.
I think of the adventures,
And my intrepid spirit,
Along with several mentors,
And how I’d never fear it.
I find the times I faltered,
Remember when I fell,
How my life was altered,
And how I went through hell.
And then the slow recovery,
It took so many years,
And the eventual discovery,
Healing comes with tears.
Danger and disappointment,
The pleasure and the pain,
How to apply the salve,
That keeps me whole and sane.
Solace of the senses,
Many, many times,
Lowering my defences,
Odes were written down in rhymes.
The calling for more comfort,
I get it from my soul,
Inch by inch I didn’t flinch,
Until I was whole.
Capsules in time,
I wonder where they went,
I write them down in rhyme,
Times that I have spent.
