Clearing Out
The clutter
Uncertainty is the catalyst.
Change is inevitable
Tenterhooks, I’m feeling.
Life is irrevocable.
Clearing out the clutter
Tidying up the mess
The magnitude of money
May I change my address?
Seeking out the certainty
Staying in control
Trying to be resilient
A goldfish in a bowl.
States of mind aren’t static.
Sentences are stiff
Teetering on the precipice
They were falling off the cliff.
Poison in perspective
Words were never heard.
Roaring like a lion
I was tweeting like a bird.
Signs sent on the Internet
Can’t we talk anymore
I can call you sweetheart.
You call me Senor.
Indiscretion in the air
I can smell smoke.
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
I tell you, it’s no joke.
Tenterhooks are trying
Waiting is the worst.
Now I’m short of water.
Please, someone, slake my thirst.
