Eggs with legs
“For those who remember”
Whether they’re the curried kind
Poached fried sautéed or scrambled
Or maybe they are eggs with legs
Bald Iggles that have rambled.

rings of hair like friar tuck
sad, sad eyes like apple pies
and two small feet for luck.
Heads like eggs hairy too
when you look into his eyes
you’ve got to tell the honest truth
no porkies fibs or lies.
He’s a menace just like Dennis
to all the human race
ad men lawyers and doctors too
are all put in their place.
The Iggle is a niggle
To smooth Sam and honest John
fiction is the diction
he knows right from wrong.
eggs with legs, minimum friction.
Have some in the morning
boiled eggs are a good start
adorned with two toast fingers
too many make you fart.
So, there it is the long and short
now when you eat an egg
consider carefully what might happen
at 2am in bed.
