Full Moon

Like a bright balloon

It’s early in the morning,
I peek outside and swoon,
so soon the day is dawning,
in the sky floats the full moon.

A feeling falls across my face,
a whisper from the blue,
and I know I’m not alone,
the feeling filters through.

I stretch and fetch the moment,
the mist is kissed by dew,
whilst outside night disappears,
and happens right on cue.

The cool and clear connection,
with the moon the stars and sun,
stroll in the same direction,
before the day’s begun.

The seasons have a reason,
we feel it in the air,
a signature so pleasing,
new air is everywhere.

Late at night and early morn,
we gaze into the sky,
stars that linger fore the dawn,
the same for you and I.

You taste the salt of summertime,
and I the winter chill,
as the full moon is setting,
to the night birds trill.

Then there’s the misty morning,
the magnet of the moon,
drifting in the morning haze,
like a bright balloon.
