n’t …r the payoff 
—way, way long… 
like, can’t even see the light, long 
it’s kind of breaking me down 
if I’m being honest 
my brain is a ball of mush 
you can probably tell 
by these wayward scribbles…
the best of me is crippled 
and I don’t know when 
I’ll be clear again 
my face is now a shallow lake 
coated with thin ice
dull axe, shallow lake
