Here is the Spot

I’m standing in.

Here is the spot I’m standing on
At this exact moment in time
Here is at this location
A place perfect and sublime

Home is where the heart is
And here is in this place
In the now, at this juncture
In harmony and grace

Here moves to there and everywhere.
Back and forth and to and fro
In various places
And always on the go

Here comes another summer
And here’s to a quick recovery
From the bitter winter winds
To springs wonderment and discovery

Here today and gone tomorrow
Short-lived and left behind
Always on the move
With little peace of mind

Here and now is the second
Right here at this location
There is where we’re going
Our future destination

Can you hear me calling
You’re there, and I am here
Often you’re here beside me, dear
And then you disappear

What are we all doing here?
A question often pondered.
When I think about you love
From here to there, my mind wandered.
