I Call Life

Close Encounters.

Stranger things have happened
The mind plays funny tricks
Wrapped tight in each other’s arms
And seeking a quick fix

Nothing’s sure and risks abound
I call life close encounters
One minute here the next it’s gone
Beware the wasted hours

When it all is said and done
I trust my intuition
The danger is a doubling
Of the current position

Listen to the words I say
Inaudible but clear
Trust the elements of nature
Don’t bend to thoughts of fear

There is no silver bullet
Life comes at a cost
Trudge roads of reality
Avoid an unseen impost

Lift me up and let me down
Let’s face reality
Remember who I really am
Felicity is the key

On the road there’s a code
No bends or bumps or grind
Be careful what I ask for
And then what I may find
