I Found You

In empty spaces

I found you in empty spaces.
I never knew before
existed within my heart
To the very core.

You blew in from the ocean.
and drifted on the breeze
I don’t know where you came from
Were you from the seven seas?

Where ere it is you came from
your presence is intangible
I cannot touch or see you.
Though I can feel we are compatible.

It is an arcane feeling.
an esoterical experience
yet somehow, it’s familiar
I hear you in the distance.

It seems that you know secrets.
you’ve whispered to my heart
and I’m absorbing the knowledge
That was missing from the start.

It feels like osmosis.
unconscious assimilation to the core
and an ephemeral transformation
I’ve not known before.

It sustains and keeps me safe.
and makes me feel whole
the manna in my ethos
And sustenance in my bowl.

I found you in empty spaces.
when parts of me were still alone,
you’ve led me down the path
Back to my hearth and home.
