I Strive to Thrive
And be alive.
I strive to thrive and be alive,
At the destination,
And to practice simplicity,
In each and every action.
Pick me up or drop me off,
To places I’ve not been,
Serve me up with a smile,
Apple pie and cream.
Take me on a tiny trip,
Around the block will do,
Simplicity is the action,
I’m trying to accrue.
Ask me why the apple pie,
Melts in other mouths,
And why a pommie calls his moosh,
His smily north and south.
Singing in the shower,
Standing in the sand,
Being there when the maestro,
Strikes up his cool jazz band.
I saw you disappearing,
In a puff of smoke,
Just as well that you’re a woman,
And not a hairy bloke.
Simplicities symphonic,
It’s synchronicity,
You and I together,
When it could have been just me.
Simplicity is the answer,
Ask me one more time,
It’s easy peasy apple pie,
For me to write in rhyme.
