I Think of You

And wonder.

Was it you fit the shoe
Why did you fly away?
Mutual attraction
That disappeared into the blue.

I would love to work in Latitudes
Too cold to coexist
Or is it down to symmetry?
Or the way, we missed.

Now that summer spread her wings
And winter’s here again
My moves to new warmer climes
This song is my refrain.

I recognise that in your eyes
The focus is faltering
Does this mean the inevitable
Way your mind is altering.

Dabbling in deductions
It is crystal clear
Knowing you are far away
Yet you feel, near.

Times have changed I’ve rearranged
My mind and found another phase
Gazing at the embers
Once that were ablaze.

How far is gone forever
Is there any coming back
I saw you in a photograph
And now I have the knack.

Of instant recognition
Who turned out the light
I think of you and wonder
Since you disappeared, from sight.
