Ineptitude

An attitude.

Daddy has gone fishing,
Gone to the Netherlands,
Floating though not boating
Look! no hands.

Ineptitude is an attitude,
Inept is amateurish,
Careful what you ask for,
And for what you fish.

Is it true that black and blue,
Blancmange and puce and purple,
Are colours of the rainbow,
Seen by scenic people.

Ineptitude is catching,
Watch for an epidemic,
Is stupidity a state of mind,
I fear it is endemic.

Weeds are growing, the wind is blowing,
Where is the weather now,
Ask a politician
He’ll refer you to a cow.

The mystery is mounting,
Missing parts seem lost,
Set aside the schisms,
Who cares about the cost.

Bite me with a plebiscite,
Wreck my rhythm stick,
Talk to squawking pollies,
Most thick as a brick.

When the dread is said and done,
And the party's over,
Ask if its ineptitude,
Whilst rolling in the clover.
