Into an Infinity

Out of the blue.

A feeling of affinity,
Tried true and trusted too,
Into an infinity,
Can come out of the blue.

The ups and downs, in, and outs,
And, in-betweens,
Poised positions and the doubts,
Through the ways and means.

Endurance is the dance of life,
Support and sympathy,
And that truth cuts like a knife,
Mixed in with empathy.

Moving past the first to last,
Disappearing in the mist,
Slowing down when too fast,
Catching what I’ve missed.

Then there’s friends and family,
Subordinates as well,
The ecstasy and agony,
Sometimes hard to tell.

Time to come in from the cold,
Sustain and satisfy,
Or a story that’s been told,
Or a feeling I could fly.

Fly away to places,
Beyond my wildest dreams,
The thought my mind embraces,
To cool, clear mountain streams.

A feeling of affinity,
A feeling next to none,
I mingle with divinity,
Love is the only one.
