Life is a Game

of chance.

In shades of black and white
Things often look the same
Today looks like yesterday
Is life only a game?or

Made of mirror images
Carbon copies and clones
Or are they all images
In the twilight zones.

I used my imagination
And perceived the difference
It altered my perception
And changed the inference.

I now take an oblique angle
And often look askance
At things that disturb me
Life is just a game of chance.

One minute in the limelight
The next nobody knows
Creating a facsimile
What will it expose?

Looking in the mirror
Or seen in duplicate.
Frozen for a moment
Before it gets too late.

Life is a merry-go-round.
Smiles printed on children’s lips
A kaleidoscope of colour
Each turn is a new eclipse.
