Like the Wind

You fly away

Like the wind, you fly away.
You turn day into night.
You are the sun on the run.
Then disappear from sight.

Boisterous and blustery
White horses on the Bay
Squally howling and roaring too
Unrestrained, you have your way.

Rambunctious and riotous too
Your laugh is unrestrained.
Efficient and omnipotent
They taught well but needed to be trained.

The mystery is your middle name
The breeze your teasing side
Beauty abounds about you
In the place where you abide.

Inscrutable explains the way
You storm, then disappear
Curves abound on your body
You rarely bend to fear.

Behind the face and fit façade
There dwells a tender heart.
Sweet susceptibility
And love right from the start.

You’ll roar like a lion.
And whisper like a mouse.
Then cook up a storm.
And have friends, round to your house.

You are the wind, the moon, and the sun.
I love you like you are
At night you glitter in the sky
You are my rising star.
