Magic Smile
Like sunshine
I like it that she’s unusual,
I prefer knowing she’s that way,
She is a fair and rare jewel,
And never fails to make my day
Quirky is relaxed and peculiar,
Outlandish, zany and bizarre,
It rings a familiar bell,
And it makes this girl a star.
A star that shines in the morning,
And glows in my heart all night,
She came into my life without warning,
She shines like a burning light.
She walks and talks in rare etudes,
A feeling we both share,
Will she be the one under the sun
I wonder if we’ll dare.
Sailing in a saloon-like ship,
Along the long South Coast,
All equipped for the trip,
She moves through the air, just like a ghost.
There’s a semblance of strangeness,
Idiosyncratic and unconventional too,
She arrives armed with her changes,
A star out of the blue.
She’s quirky, and she’s different,
To the usual, mundane and morose,
She’s part of the swirling current,
I can feel her coming close.
When I wake up in the morning,
With a smile on my dial,
Like sunshine floods in without warning,
When you arrive with your magic smile.
