Meeting

Of our minds.

Where I reside, I cannot hide.
The places I have been
Though the meeting of our minds
Is somewhere in between.

I walk and talk and sometimes balk
The roads have loads to bear.
Though the day I met your mind
I felt the need to share.

And let go of things I know
I usually adjust
Of a feeling that came stealing
I knew that I could trust.

It’s not tangible or manageable.
Or ways, I get things done.
Though someone told my soul
That you are the one.

I didn’t have to see you.
Or touch your words to merge.
Into another place and time
When I felt my heart surge.

Was it the way you looked?
Or the words you said
No, it was more than that
My soul replied instead.

I yearn to learn the glue who’ll bind
And join both peace and love
In the heart and in the mind.
With blessings from above.

I embrace the meeting.
The meeting of our minds
As the sun shines on my soul
And through once shuttered blinds.
