Moondust

A poem of love

Falling through the atmosphere
lost in the night sky
moondust and the diamonds
float and pass me by.

Cries and sighs and sequins
satisfaction too
ring a ring a rosy
a dance that’s tried and true.

On the shore there’s so much more
to see at early dawn
mirrored on the waters
whilst others stretch and yawn.

A feeling of contentment
washes through my veins
the air and cool crisp morning
mixed with love refrains.

I drink the dew of beauty
and succour scenes like this
no design can define
this feeling of deep bliss.

That fills my heart with favour
in a suspended state
fruits of different flavour
love never comes too late.

A phoenix from the ashes
redeemed for me to see
stars fly by in flashes,
for all the world to see.

Moondust falls from heaven
angels golden rings
floating past my half-closed eyes
on fragile gossamer wings.
