Near

And far.

Near and far you are the star
I follow day and night
When you’re near, I have no fear
When far you’re still in sight

Love is an enigma
A riddle no one knows
It lifts me and lets me down
It keeps me on my toes

I’ve learned when you’re far away
You’re near to my emotions
You mark the bends my mind wends
And trace my evocations

You’re my friend right to the end
Whether near or far
You remain my guiding light
That keeps me where you are

You are my star and avatar
My present incarnation
We meet again, and up till when
We’ve perfected the equation

Near and far and in the wind
Your presence is in the air
You tantalise my senses
With your beauty and your flair

When you’re near, I still can hear
The silent sounds of bliss
And when far you are the star
And lips I wish to kiss
