Understanding.

Some appear from around the corner.
And others that I know are always there
The mysterious infrequencies that suddenly appear
Are the ones I stop and stare.

That’s the dancer I remember
The one who was nimble on his feet
He sometimes dances among my memories
In Trafalgar Square or up and down Fleet Street.

It’s a dream you see, and to join the strands together
It is like Einstein looking for his car keys
He could work out mathematical questions
But practicality sent the poor man to his knees.

Some say dreams are inconsequential
But my perspective tells me otherwise
When I reminisce and join piece by piece
The plans are more reflections of my eyes.

What I’ve seen becomes a disjointed equation
Mixed up with fears and assorted anxieties
They then are metamorphosed into different bodies
Amongst a bit of truth mixed up with some lies

I call them my mysterious infrequencies
They are mine to decipher or ignore
They come to me in the nighttime
Between a dream, a sniffle, and a snore.

Now I’ve gained a new understanding.
I let these moments in from where they often lurk
It opens up a box of misunderstanding
And leaves the undisclosed to do its work.
