New Directions

Blown by the breeze

Ideas I’ve had late at night
Rarely reach the light of day.
Others germinate and grow.
And later have their say.

They magnify and expand.
An unravelled mystery
That forms a story
Part of life’s tapestry.

They are parts of my persona.
Stretched out in rhyme and verse
I was running like a river.
I don’t need to rehearse.

Expanded and extended
Moulded to be a part
Of the greater story
And wheels upon the cart.

Of a journey I am taking.
A long way down the track
Bound for a destination
Where there’s no coming back.

On the way and from the start
my mind and body expanded
With thoughts and inspiration
Some held others disbanded.

I’m standing at the corner.
Looking up at the signpost
And seek the destinations.
That will provide the most.

The stars floating in the sky
And the swaying of the trees.
Focus new directions
Blown by the breeze
