New Love is Never Found

On the rebound.

How many have been hurt
From a sore and broken heart
Then turn around and flirt
To anaesthetise the hurt
How many repercussions
And what damage will be done
Head damage and concussions
In the name of innocent fun
The thought of the one you love
In the arms of another lover
Involve others undeserving of
Ghosts under your bed cover
More hearts and souls are damaged
By fear hurt and retribution
Left in tatters and ravaged
Revenge is never the solution
Searching for peace and solace
Through sexual satisfaction
Transient love is out of place
If only used for gratification
Heights of orgasmic pleasures
Fade and turn to dust
By inordinate means and measures
If used for spite revenge and lust
Love twisted by a rebound
From the pain and tears of loss
Seemingly lost but never found
A treasure turned to dross
The heart that now is hurting
Has loved you from the start|
Torment so disconcerting
Bleeding and broken heart
Rebound and taste the pain
Of karma loss and reprisal
A mind near to insane
A fight for revival and survival
Hurt the one you love
Bouncing back on the rebound
Senseless push and shove
New love is never found.
