Night and Day

Eclipse.

Night and day eclipse in a magic movement
Hardly seen another day drifts by
Inconceivable to understand the moments
Often too hard for me to try

What others see to me as an enigma
Imperceptible to my naked eye
Invisible and lost in translation
Often, I feel that it wasn’t I

Relating to abstract information
Wishing I had wings, and I could fly
Drifting off into the evening
Waving to the day of my last good-bye

Behind the linear conversation
I wander and I weave a crooked mile
Thoughts beyond the usual understanding
Crease my mind in a knowing smile

Dreams that are never transmitted
Crowd the dusty archives of my mind
Perception is a choice and a direction
Discretion is the pile I leave behind

Lost in an invisible lifetime
The thoughts I have mostly are not mine
I walk each step with the knowledge
I’m only following yet another sign

Seen by all around I am invisible
My body is here for a temporary trip
My tires are low on rubber
I drive with care in case I have a slip

Invisible is where I started
Never saw again where I have gone
At night my presence is apparent
Then I disappear again into the dawn
