Member-only story
One Day
At a time.
Dreams of new tomorrows,
Fall into my arms,
Forget fragmented sorrows,
Succumb to call to charms.
Moments are the mystery,
The past has come and gone,
Time for elasticity,
The midnight sun has shone.
You hover in the morning sky,
A sumptuous drifting moon,
Fly with me, fly so high,
The eclipse is coming soon.
The others are mothers,
Nurture swift and sure,
And then there are the others,
And so many more.
Love is an enigma,
Please don’t ask me why,
Stilted without stigma,
That money cannot buy.
Superstition saunters,
Knock, knock on my door,
Open, and it enters,
There forevermore.
Seize the day is what they say,
Carpe diem, the maestro moans,
And whilst the rest hope and pray,
Talking on their phones.
We know it’s synchronicity,
One day at a time,
No stretch, just elasticity,
The rhythm and the rhyme.
