Out of sight
A poem of love
Out of sight I cannot see you,
though you’re here in my minds eye,
the invisible threads that bind us,
before my eye’s fly by.
Out of sight though in my mind,
deep down within my soul,
it seems like we’re part of each other,
the part of you makes me whole.
I can often feel your presence,
in familiar and natural ways,
you’re part of the landscape of my heart
and stream on the morning sun’s rays.
Together my world is expanded,
my senses take on a new tone,
we see through each other’s eyes,
even when we are alone.
I feel you fly into my heart,
my being and my psyche,
into the eye of my mind and find,
you’re in my dreams at night.
Your eyes they glint like diamonds,
that sparkle like sunshine on the sea,
I run to your side and melt in your arms,
in a sonata of repartee.
I know I cannot see you,
though here in my minds eye,
the invisible threads that bind us,
my mind cannot belie.
