Linear or lateral
Ups, downs, and in-betweens
Parallel perspectives
Musings in my dreams.

Life and death and dabbling
In the great unknown
Deciding different points of view
I was living on my own.

Frames without a painting
Splashes on a photograph
Cheques made out for millions.
Without an autograph.

Panoramic pictures
From a bird’s eye view
Sorting out the counterfeit
From the tried and true.

Anxious aberrations
Looking up ahead
No guarantees or sureties
They are easily misled.

I saw your song on the wind.
Sky written lullabies
Your dulcet tones drifted.
Past reflections in your eyes.

Up ahead in the blue
Undiscovered repertoire
A sea on the far horizon
Scenes from the evening star.

Drifting past my senses
Ships in the night
With all lights shining
slowly drifting out of sight.
