Passerines

Perched on my plate

Metabolic mysteries
All the shades of blue
History in a heartbeat
Most of it is true.

Please pass me the Passerines.
Perching on your plate
Let’s eat before dawn.
Before it gets too late.

Drink in the atmosphere
In this altered state
Expanding the consciousness
Destiny and fate.

Has the time passed at midnight?
Breath mingles in the air.
Asleep with eyes wide open
All care abandoned her.

Can a feeling last forever
Is this a sweet surrender
Certainty the Centaur
Can silence be so tender?

Sunlight stretching out to yawn
Limbs with wings aloft
Tossed, embossed and pliable.
Silken, smooth, and soft.

At the door, there’s furthermore.
And places Poseidon knows.
Dressed in all the shades of blue
The lovely moment grows.
