Past Present and Future
Changed forever
It seems when dreams are washed away,
The mould we’re told is broken,
Past present and future,
Are just another notion.
The world is turned upside down,
So many people grieving,
We watch the news and wonder,
It seems beyond believing.
Things have changed forever,
They’ll never be the same,
Parts of the planet dying,
Like an ill wind corona came.
The past is fast receding,
The present’s full of fear,
The future’s like a suture,
Nothing’s really clear.
It’s a sign to take the time,
To do things differently,
And explore the open door,
In light of the epiphany.
In a world that’s been hurled,
Into another age,
And many things seem upside down,
On another page.
Now’s the time to re-think,
Things we say and do,
New ways of doing things,
And to think it through.
Scenes of sustainability,
Embracing a new order,
Past present and future,
Written by another author.
