Patriotic Perils
Tear up human morals
Zealots wave the flags
Fight for their beliefs
Hungering for justice
Calling other’s thieves.
Whether it’s for country
Homes our hopes or kin
Fighting to the bitter end
They chant the battle hymn.
Patriotic extremists
Fuelling up the fire
Spreading fear and hatred
Stuck within the mire.
All the pawns are placed
Out on the battlefield
Cannon fodder for the elite
Fates completely sealed.
They do it on the Internet
And construct divisive dirt
Posing as the innocents
Eager to subvert.
Patriotic perils
Fostered by fanatics
Turning hatred into agony
Scaremongering and dramatics.
Weak hide under the umbrella
Of blinkered patriotism
And divide with hardcore hatred
Opening up the schism.
Humanity is bleeding
The division, death and quarrels
Senseless patriotic perils
Tear up human morals.
