People Know

Where to go

It isn’t like a baby dog,
Licks, smiles, small and furry,
Like a change in the weather,
When winds blow in a flurry.

I know spring will often bring,
The key, let’s get together,
And then create a flurry,
But whew, I need a breather.

So, I write it down in rhyme,
And infiltrate alliteration,
Standing by, I say goodbye,
I’m leaving the station.

I estimate I may be late,
All aboard, we’re in a hurry,
Board the train in the rain,
And avoid the curry flurry.

People know where to go,
When they’re overloaded,
A wander in the garden,
Action is outmoded.

Cats and dogs and wee small frogs,
It can sometimes be a worry,
People, though, are far more apt,
To leave me in a flurry.

Sense and sensibility,
The given right to smile,
Driving down a country road,
We are going the extra mile.

With a girl name Pearl,
In a bonnet in my Surrey,
Also, with a fringe on top,
We live life in a hurry.
