Perceptions
Paint the scenery
I said red-suited you
And then you saw the snow
I saw the delight in your face
More than I’ll ever know
I look inside and outside too.
As far as I can see
My eyes pick up perspectives
And set perceptions free.
Inside live the live ideas
The thoughts inside my head
The mysteries and love I feel
The fear, the hurt, and dread.
As far as my eyes can see
Horizons are the limit
The sea, the trees and in-betweens
Years lived in a single minute.
Moments are frozen
Framed in a photograph
Perceptions paint the scenery
Signed with nature’s autograph.
I drink them in to satisfy.
Thirsts for appreciation
Far vistas to salve my soul
A suitable diversion.
I file them in quiet corners.
Places for meditation
Alongside subtle nuances
Food for contemplation.
When my mind spins and whirls
I watch the slow demise
And stretch out on the green grass
And then focus my eyes.
On the clouds drifting by
As far as my eyes can see
A way to liberate
And set my meek mind free.
