Dangerous

I am the audience

Done by definition
no care for consequence
it’s called risky business
I am the audience.

With my eyes wide open
an adrenalin rush
stretched to the limits
the blood comes in a gush.

Living on a wing
playing on a prayer
spontaneous interaction
enough to cause a scare.

Actions and reactions
are unpredictable
too much to resist
it’s irresistible.

As long as I can remember
I’ve always pushed my luck
I’ve been to hell and back
blessed and heaven struck.

Remembering the moments
it was always touch and go
ask me for the reason
I just went with the flow.

Hanging on a rock outbreak
the world teeters below
a rope and carabiner
though mostly in the know.

Dangerous is my middle name
a miracle I’m alive
born under a lucky star
fortunate to survive.
