I hear the time is coming.
knocking on the door
Will it be the answer?
What have I there in store?

Pictures of perfection
rarefied and raw
irreconcilable appearances
Houses made of straw.

Abashed and then abandoned
an unattainable premise
reaching for the sky
in the streets of Venice

Feelings of fascination
the nagging need for more
flattened by emotion
Underscores the fatal flaw

Decked out in danger
misheard or mistaken
The error that leads to terror
The bait I tsate is taken

A sudden gust of wind
a short storm on the way
fast and fatal damage
Pray for another day.

In Aristotle’s poetics
Hamartia Hero’s fatal flaw
committed in ignorance
not knowing what’s in store.

The midnight moon is shining
A knocking on the door
with all the best intentions
I feel one more encore.
