Pleasance
Is my priority
What is my prime issue?
And takes predominance
In my list of priorities
Which one takes precedence?
I must insist that on the list.
First comes my prime concern.
Be it physical, emotional, or material.
I sort and then discern.
Placed in the right compartment
And then put it on the list.
Graded by importance
Erased then ceases to exist.
I’ve lost count of the number.
Priorities often change
By the second or the day
They alter and rearrange.
If there’s pain without gain
Pain often takes first place.
An affliction confluent with
The aging human race.
Moments of meditation
Times of serenity
A long drive in the country
Far from the city.
Nights when lights disappear
And stars fall from the sky.
Moments of imagination
A quick game of I spy.
Pleasance is my priority.
Days and nights of delight
A rainbow in the grey sky
It can make everything all right.
