Poetry Algorithms and Medium

My modicum of experience writing on Medium.

I love writing, I love writing rhyming poetry. The poems I write reflect my thoughts and emotions. This helps me make sense of myself and where my life leads me.

I love Medium for the opportunity to publish my poems and pieces. I have consistently published most days coming up 5-years in December totalling more than 4,300 publications.

In addition to this, I am an Editor of 4 other publications. This keeps me busy and is a rewarding experience.

It seems that Medium is constantly adjusting Algorithms to combat AI and other methods some use…

Unfortunately, some innocent writers, have been barred and find it difficult to be reinstated, as a result of this.

Earnings and Boosted stories on Medium have fluctuated wildly in the last 10 months and as a result of Mediums Algorithms, earnings across the board have plummeted.

I believe Medium may be improved by considering the following:

· Banning multiple tagging

· Writers asking to be followed

· Replying to writers’ concerns

· Revert to a dedicated person to consider poems and pieces worth boosting

· Followers are a fallacy of 24k + I have a handful of “real” followers
