Sequestered

When thoughts flow swift and deep

In my hand I hold a strand
an itch and an insight
a piece of an epiphany
a globe of shining light

In the quieter moments
when others are asleep
I enjoy sequestered moments
when thoughts flow swift and deep.

And other times when I’m alone
my mind is satisfied
I reminisce and daydream
and ideas are magnified.

Sequestered in my own world
moments turn to days
and feelings I’ve had hidden
burst into sudden blaze.

There is a world of my own
where no one else has been
I keep insights sequestered
others have never seen.

I meditate and calculate
the painting in the frame
the story told inside my life
that often is the same.

I look outside the window
and drink the tranquil scene
that drifts into my senses
where the entire world is green.

These are the magic moments
often only visualised
a fortune in rare diamonds
changed and crystallised.
