Silent

Whispers.

I can hear you in the wind.
gentle as the breeze
glowing in the stars above
And blossoming in the trees.

Words I can’t enunciate.
a rustle in the air
I stop and stand in wonder.
And whisper if I dare.

I hear a sigh, and I can’t try.
to tell you how I feel
or open up my heart
For fear, I might reveal.

The love that lingers deep below
some words left best unsaid
the fear of opening up the doors
To see the seas of the mist ahead.

Hidden behind silver veils
disguised below the sea
whispered by the whippoorwill
Far above the trees.

I don’t know if thoughts can grow.
and change into ideas
and how the rhyme turns into a time
And gradually appears.

Sparks of speculation
the cream in the cat’s whiskers
rumours floating in the air
Or sense in silent whispers.
