Summer Breezes

Move the air

I was born on the morning of creation.
The first to ever move the air
I come in a million disguises.
In summer, I filter from my lair.

In the morning, I move the lazy waters.
By midday, I add muscle to my might.
I push waves from any direction.
And in darkness, fade into the night.

I speak to you in languages familiar.
A universal tongue is known to all.
You can hear me when I whistle softly.
Mariners and sailors heed my call.

In springtime, I bring coolness from the ocean.
To facilitate the warm summer sun
I cool the dripping brows of beachgoers
and disappear when my work is one

I live in a world of oscillation.
And adapt to the isobars.
I ride the highs and lows in my chariot
am guided by the sun and moon and stars

My destination determined by pressure
My velocity increases as the lines
Spread across the map of the weather
A part of the intricate designs.

I wear a flag named sea breezes.
An integral part of summer by the sea
You can breathe in my salty fragrance.
I become a part of you and you of me.
