Irresistible.

You’re out of reach my darling
Temptation and tantalising too
You are, simply irresistible
And how it ends is up to you
When I saw you, I was gone
Blinded by the light
Engraved into my heart
Morning noon and night
Distance eclipses temptation
Out of Sight stays on my mind
I wish you were thinking of me
And I hope you treat me kind
You are the song on the breeze
The burning butterfly
The bridge is down and broken
Your rainbow wings fly by
Who knows where the wind blows
And how far is out of reach
Flotsam fear and jetsam
Washed up on the beach
Why does my heart stutter
I gasp for the next breath
Am I next to heaven
Or at the door of death
I don’t know if you can show me
Show me how you feel
When I knelt to hold you
You are sometimes not real
On the run and just for fun
You dodge and disappear
Temptation drips from my lips
As the bliss draws near
Out of sight into the night
You merge into the mist
Simply Irresistible
The lips I haven’t kissed
When you come back dressed in black
Will nighttime shade your smile
I find you irresistible
Please stay for just a while.
