The Design
That is mine.
I do design what is mine,
it is consequential,
and as I write to you in rhyme,
The theme is so sequential.
I’ll tell you about how I feel,
what’s happening for me,
and what I perceive is real,
And the themes I see.
Some are written down in rhyme,
others sing the song,
the themes and scenes are what I feel,
What is right or wrong.
Rhapsodies in my mind,
the blackness of the night,
what I hope to leave behind,
And how I feel my plight.
The feelings in the nether,
regions down below,
and if I will or whether,
Take it fast or slow.
Pieces of my pastime,
the gains and what I’ve lost,
the crossroads and the signs,
Point past the last impost.
The eternal equation,
is, how long will I last,
until my cessation,
Be it slow or fast.
I watch and wait and wonder,
each day a litany,
of experiences down under,
The part of the earth that’s me.
In the clouds, there are shrouds.
arms stretched out to embrace
lilt and love and largesse
To redeem the human race.
There’s a place I migrate to
down by the seashore
the scents sent from the ocean
Are what my heart yearns for.
