The Difference

This time.

The difference this time
Is there are no drugs or wine
And that all the feelings that I had
Are now left on the vine…
The heart has been injured
Though I can see the finishing line
The time before I was shown the door
And I felt my heart pine…

Life had lost its gloss
As I counted the loss
I’ve said and done on the run
Whilst handling the dross…
The time had come to learn
I now had to earn
Every single click in time
To claim what is mine…

Pain is my companion
Age wrinkles my skin
But the mind is much clearer now
It’s the state that I’m in…
To the sun moon wind and rain
I tripped and then I fell
It impacted me and you
And my loved ones as well…

Even though I’m far away
My heart has been around
And more and more and every way
My feet land on the ground…
So, this time wish me well
Cause you never can tell
What life has in store
Behind each hidden door…

My message to me is this
Where there is life there can be bliss
So, hold me tight for one more night
I miss your sweet and tender kiss…
