The Orchestra Was Playing

I saw you standing there.

The orchestra was playing
music was in the air
despite the hype and candlelight
I saw you standing there.

You hardly cast a shadow
your smile was satisfied
dancing in my dreams that night
a feeling deep inside.

Out of the blue, we were two
no reason to refuse
joined in serendipity
the choice was ours to choose.

Eyes that slide to sensual
buds opening in the night
a trace of the face and warm embrace
joined in pure delight.

The orchestra was playing
the music on the sheets
surrounded by the scenery
immersed in perfect peace.

I need to see your shadow
the moonlight and the dawn
stretch and hold you once again
lie languidly and yawn.

When we dance together
The orchestra is there
mixed in with the symphony
the affinity we share.
